Lymphatic Draining

Lymphatic drainage therapy uses very light pressure to assist the circulation of lymph fluid and reduce oedema (swelling).

It may:

  • speed up recovery time after cosmetic and reconstructive surgery

  • reduce scarring (especially when combined with fibrotic techniques, low level laser therapy and compression bandaging)

  • reduce limb oedema resulting from mastectomy and hysterectomy

  • provide relief from swollen legs during pregnancy

  • assist recovery from sporting injuries such as sprains and ligament tears

  • reduce sinusitis symptoms, and

  • reduce arthritic symptoms
