Clinical Nutritionist and Gut Health Specialist, Katherine Hay and Integrative Nutrition and Holistic Health Coach, Jacintha Akkerman have teamed together to bring you The Gut Health Workshop.

Katherine Hay will be discussing the science behind gut health.
Jacintha Akkerman will be discussing the emotional and environmental effects of gut health.

There is a Q&A at the end so you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

About the speakers::


Katherine Hay's encompasses holistic health with adventure, nutritional medicine, wellbeing, using food as medicine and mindfulness.
She has a bachelor of Health Science degree majoring in Nutritional Medicine + Accredited member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association.
Katherine specialises in gut health, female health and DNA genome testing. Katherine currently has been working in a clinical environment for over three years working with her patients to support them in achieving their unique health goals.
Katherine believes that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to health and everyone is extremely different, therefore treatment plans are personalised to the individual.Katherine believes there are many myths about what is considered 'healthy' and 'diet' trends. Katherine provides her patients with the latest scientific research about nutritional medicine - a simple, attainable, realistic, non-restrictive approach to health care that does not leave her patients confused or overwhelmed.


Jacintha is a certified Integrative Nutrition and Holistic Health Coach and advocate for conscious living. For many years she had her own struggle with anxiety - her biggest breakthrough was quitting alcohol.

She has a deep passion to work with clients to support their health goals through integrative and often plant-based nutrition. She is a firm believer in bio-individuality - one person’s food is another's poison - so she works together with her clients to find what is right for them. She is also deeply passionate about educating parents on the need for good nutrition for kids.

Health is not just the food we eat, but all other factors in life. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, mindfulness, stress management, proper sleep, joy, laughter, mind-body connection, and spiritual practice are essential forms of self-nourishment. Jacintha works with her clients to ensure all boxes are ticked and keeps them accountable to their chosen goals.

Will food be provided?
No. We recommend eating dinner beforehand.

What time does the event start & finish?
Arrival is 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start. The event will conclude by 8:30pm.

Car parking
We are located next to Burwood station so they are ample parking at Burwood station.

Is there allocated seating?
Seats are on a 'first in best dressed' code. The tickets are limited to 25 so it will be an intimate event.
